I'm not ignoring this thread, we have the same thing during the summer months. We have salad every evening from Monday to Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we have whatever M and S are offering for the weekend ( 2x meals for 2 and a BBQ) I'm far too busy in the garden to cook during the summer - I think OH is really looking forward to autumn

I dislike cooking but have to do it as OH can't ( and yes, he's tried bless him). It's not helped by the fact that I'm Veggie and he eats no salad and little veg, so I almost always have to cook 2 different meals ( this has been the same for 42yrs so it ain't gonna change ) I'm sooo pleased we have M & S nearby, at least we get decent food at weekends My Mum was no cook ( bless her) and had little interest in food so I've never grown up with a "foodie culture". If I lived alone I'd live on cheese sarnies, boiled eggs, and pizza ( I often do, anyway ) Yeah!!

We ate so much salad during the heatwave I think we've both gone off it.
OH fancied some junk food last night, so he had chicken nuggets & chips & I just had some of the veg curry that I'd made for my lunches during the week.
Think we've got Pork Steak, roasted new potatoes with garlic & green beans tonight.

Had a lovely tea last night & I cooked it for a change. Caribbean chicken with rice & pineapple salsa. It's actually a weight watchers recipe that we've adapted now we don't have to be so strict. I never in my life thought my OH would eat raw chilli, but he really likes it.

You would have enjoyed the lead article in Saturday's Telegraph Gardening section Jilly. Ed Cummings was at a Chilli Festival - didn't sound like it was for the faint hearted! We had Chinese last night and tonight we've got pasta bake, salad and crusty bread. Ohh, we've got a choice of puds too as OH fancied trifle when we went shopping yesterday and banoffee pie was on special!
