Oooh my boys love fish Chuckles and Jasmine, especially shellfish. They would gobble those dinners up in a second! Tonight I think I am going to make a sweet and sour chicken dish which I saw on the BBC Good Food website. We are also going to make some bread today which the boys are looking forward to.

Prawn fajitas for tea tonight. I couldn't do them yesterday so we had burgers instead - I'd forgotten to defrost some chicken for LT's fajitas - he can't eat prawns.

I do too, unfortunately our M&S is in the wrong direction for picking things up on the way home from work, actually that may not be a bad thing . We made a big cottage pie last night, so we've got the rest of that tonight, with carrots, green beans & broccoli.

I do too, unfortunately our M&S is in the wrong direction for picking things up on the way home from work, actually that may not be a bad thing . I think that is probably a very good thing Jilly! I treated us to lunch from M&S and even BT commented on the cost of few sandwiches and he thinks money just pops out of the hole in the wall in a continuous stream!

What made you think that my chicken dish was from M & S eh Jilly?? and not a product of my own fair brain / hand?? Actually, you would have been correct but it was very well received and I did add some extra sauce ( Moroccan spiced sauce..... also from you know where)

My friend brought me squillions of her home grown tomatoes, some runner beans and courgettes. As OH hates tomatoes and courgettes and we don't eat much cooked veg in the summer I fear they will all end up on the compost heap ( I thanked her profusely though )

isabella I'm still trying to stick to my diet, I've just had dinner & I'm hungry again now the blueberry cake looks absolutely wonderful. Auricula do you remember the advert from the 70's with the woman having a dinner party & throwing all the boxes in the bin 'oh I made it all myself ' I think it was for vesta curry though which was hardly something you'd want to admit to Could you not add all that veg to the next curry you make? I sometimes make curries that consist almost entirely of courgettes & tomatoes.

Auricula, that sounds very tasty indeed! Isabella, you are lucky that you live so far away as I would have to come and kidnap you - those dishes look divine. I would very much love to walk in and have somebody cook like that for me. Well done!!

That's a good idea Jilly I make 2 different curries anyway for OH and me so that might be a solution. Yes, I do remember the ads I lived on Vesta curries when I was a student, those and tinned vegetable soup with cream crackers. No money, no interest in food... and...no weight I weighed less than 8stone when I got married
