OH came back from shopping with a bargain, 1.5kg of top rump of beef from the butchers counter. I'm going to do it as a roast tonight, as we're at Mum's tomorrow, then we can have the rest for cold on Monday.... luckily he remembered to pick me up some more Horseradish sauce, so I'm sorted

Tapas and Spanish Rioja...... have you room for me in your bag? I can enquire with Ryanair whether it would be cheaper to have you couriered out or go in the luggage! The paper yesterday said it was cheaper to do the courier option...not on friends obviously...just ordinary luggage! BT can hoover out a tapas bar with little or no effort!

Hotting up! (The food not the weather! ) By default - as we had fish and chips last night - we have meatball pasta for supper tonight. Well, all the boys will have meatball pasta and I'll just have the tomato, mushroom and courgette sauce - that sounds like right old slop doesn't it!

We had comfort food last night as the weather was a bit miserable, Asda chosen by you premium steak pies, they are deep filled and have lovely short crust pastry, had mash, peas, beans and yummy gravy.
Tonight sirloin steaks from the butcher, home made chips, peas and mushrooms.

That looks scrummy Chuckles - drooling at the thought of it. We had roast beef and all the trimmings for lunch, then cake when we were out, then soup and rolls followed by another meringue nest with goosegogs and cream in, then a bit of strong cheddar for tea - no wonder I'm not a size 12

Ooh Chuckles, the risotto sounded lovely and did the roast Tig. We just had a picnic for lunch when we went up to the village Festival and then chicken and ham pie at the barn dance last night which was nice enough. All the better because I didn't have to cook!

I've bought some fresh haddock, so I'll make a light batter and deep fry it, and make some potato and onion scallops to go with it. We've got creme caramel for dessert.

I don't use beer or fizzy pop, just a very basic large dollop of flour, nip of bicarb, half spoon of sugar, sprinkle of salt and enough water to make the right consistency. It were scrummilicious.

Caribbean chicken, with rice & salsa. I took a bit of a chance as you should use pineapple in the salsa but I didn't have any so I used mandarin segments, it came out really nice.
