I had a fish supper with mushy peas. Way too much for 1 person but Suki helped out with the cod. I really fancied fish and chips last night Ladygardener - OH loves mushy peas! I don't think our chippy opens on Sunday so we won't get any tonight either. That was jolly good of Suki to help out - I can see Bloob being a very willing helper too!

Steak, mushrooms, chips and peas for us! Sainsbury's are doing 2 steaks with smoked garlic and parsley butter and you get 3 packets for £10 at the moment (or 1 packet for £4). I'm not fussed about red meat really but the steak is really good quality.

The soup looks lovely Jasmine, much better for a little squash to be turned into something nice to eat, rather than just put on display We had roast welsh lamb, but I did do a huge veg curry for lunches for the next couple of weeks & that involved squash too.

Thank you Jilly...and I got to use my new scales! I was taught to cook without scales but I think cakes turn out better when everything is weighed properly rather than done in spoonfuls - well other folk's cake is always nicer than mine and I'm hoping it's the not weighing that's the reason!
