Well I brought some home-made chunky vegetable soup to work with me for my tea. Actually got to eat it at 10pm!..ho hum..back to work... ;D

You lot are making me feel hungry and it's only 9.20am!!! Tonight we are having grilled chicken with pitta bread, tzatziki and hummous, green salad and tomato salad. And no pre-dinner drinks!!!!!!!

Morning (I know...) I'm post-on-call so OH is cooking. M&S lasagna...not exactly what I'm sposed to be eating (on a diet) but as I've missed 3 meals and worked all night I don't care....he's doing chips too..... ;D

Well considering how badly my day was going (and how I almost burnt the potatoes and the cabbage boiled over) our dinner was really scrummy. Liver and bacon with leeks cooked in a rich thick gravy. OH had creamed taters, I had a jacket spud..and the cabbage was fine... (parp) ;D

We had spicy chicken wraps with crispy salad. I am in a MUCH better mood today....seen my baby (25 years old, 6 ft tall & with a full beard but he's still my baby) that cheered me up.

Nothing grungy for tea tonight: roasted turkey breast (from Shugborough) wrapped in bacon, roasted potatoes, roasted parsnips, roasted butternut squash, roasted shallots, roasted sweet potato (we like roasted vegetables!!! ) and brussel sprouts. Oh and home-made stuffing.

Kippers reached their use-by date (well past it actually but I ignore those anyway) so it has been kedgeree tonight, at least my family are getting a worldwide culinary education ... Eating it now, actually it is delicious ...

Just had Chips again but home made mixed salad and a very cheap Rib of beef steak. The steaks were under £2 each from Morrisons and I have to say they were better than some of Sirlion of Rumps that we have had. Not sure about your kedgeree Derek with the out of date Kippers

Breakfast: Bran flakes, skimmed milk and apple Lunch: 4 ryvita spread with philadelphia extra light with cucumber followed by 0% fat low calorie yogurt Dinner: Jacket potato with quorn chilli ....oooh what are YOU eating (to beloved)?..can I have a chip?..um.. are there any more? oooh give us a sausage.....what's for pudding? SYRUP SPONGE AND CUSTARD....well maybe a small sli...more than THAT...and custard? where's the cream? have we got any biscuits in the house?.....GO NOW and fetch me CHOCOLATE...... another dieting day..... ;D
