Lovely Geranium, Black Pearl is especially beautiful, I've been looking at that one in catalogues for quite a while, but given my track record with Amaryllis abuse, I think I'll just enjoy yours.

One of my newly planted ones is 'Black Pearl' as well, Jilly, so I'll be able to post photos of that one for you when it flowers! The other new one is 'Tosca' - I checked the label.

Well, 'Tosca' has three flower stems! Is that unusual? I've only had one or maybe two before. Anyway, here it is. Close up.

It's lovely Geranium. The one I gave to my neighbour for Christmas has been blooming her socks off and she's delighted with it.

Thanks, Rosefriend - why on earth would anyone do that? It's cruelty to flowers.

Thanks, Rosefriend - why on earth would anyone do that? It's cruelty to flowers. No idea but it is similar to all the glitter than the poor plants get coated in and the weird colours that they end up in... We were out during December when everywhere you seemed to look there were plants with glitter and in "Christmassy colours" and there were "Ooohs and Aaahs" - I have been known to mutter in rather a loud voice that it is a shame that there isn't a society for the Protection of abuse to plants!! Boy - do I get some weird looks!! Rf

I think we should start one. I've often thought that, Rosefriend. I grrrrrr when I see poor painted heathers, and as for dyed flowers, I won't rant, but you get the drift.

Yes I feel the same way but you know, different strokes for different folks. Lots of people buy them.

Oh don't remind me Rosefriend, because of the time of year all the lovely people who came to see me when I was recovering from my op called in over the GC first & bought me a Poinsettia, if there's one plant that hates the conditions in my house it's them, I gave up buying them years ago. It was like a plant grave yard in the living room last week, I've moved them into the dining room, but it doesn't seem to be helping.
