Really lovely Jilly, is that the one in the pot in your thread? if so I admired it there too. Did you grow it from seed or buy it? is this it's 1st year?

Thanks LG, yes it is the same one as on my garden thread. I got it as a tuber in the Spring when I was looking to replace my poor Bishop of Llandaff who got left out in his pot during the Winter & didn't make it. This one came with it in a twin pack, two tubers of each, I was going to put them in the ground this time, but by the time they got big enough I'd already planted something else there i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/embarassed.gif . Was it something like burgundy poppy frills Very good shot Tig - there's been a bee or some thing busy in that poppy. I noticed I've got some coming up and that's from 2 years ago as I didn't sow any last year!

It's lovely Tig, they can lay in the soil for 50 years and still be viable. I've got some coming up too but I sowed them.

This is lily 'Nerone'. It's called 'black' but it's much more burgundy in colour. Here are my 'black' petunias in the wall trough.
