That is lovely FB I spotted a couple on mine today, but they were flitting about, not quite warm enough for them to settle for long I reckon, and it was a bit windy so the stems were rocking quite violently. x Tig

It has been so wet and windy here for days now, I hardly expected to see much 'in flight' activity. But the sun briefly came out and look what else did!! ;D and just as I moved in to get a close-up ... look OH prefers this photo, you decide x Tig

I'm with OH on the prefered pic. It is very nice. Butterflies are really scarce by me this season. Even with the butterflybush in bloom.

On the subject of man things , I've learned so much since joining this forum, one of them being to practice my photography. I see all your beautiful pics on here and get encouraged to try harder. I was quite pleased with this one as a first attempt at a butterfly. Then OH appeared and took this. On with the practice then (next lesson lighting) i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif Jillyx

Well done Jilly!! I think they are smashing photos I thought I was quite lucky this morning when I spotted this basking on the butternut squash leaves, a very speckled Speckled Wood .. Then I was even more blessed when this beauty landed just as I was going to put the camera back in the house - Red Admiral x Tig
