Wow indeed Chuckles (Wall of Water here we come ;D) I'm sure that your wooftie has a ponderous look - like thinking 'don't expect me to be getting into that big bath anytime soon!!!' I'm gonna wait 'til it's finished and show my OH - just need to make sure there are no sharp objects around for him to bang his head on as he faints at the thought of me saying "that's just what we need to build in our garden"

Gosh, what can I say. A summerhouse on steroids. That is such a fast growing project. May I suggest you get a masseuse ( no make that a masseur) in to give poor OHs back a thorough overhaul.

Mmmm the dog, well Tig she thinks she's missing out on something as you will see in the pics. She loves water but hates a bath, I bet she'll run a mile when she see's the bubbly water, I'll keep you posted. I tell you what Barbara, at 9ft x 13ft I reckon I could easily move in ;D I'm itching to get it done so I can use it more, be great for watching the birds while I have brekky or lunch in there. Yep roof was on Shrub Today OH and I have been doing the finishing off bits, amongst other things he's laid a wooden floor and started to emulsion inside. I've clean it all out and cleaned all the glass and had a major tidy up outside. The boys have worked on it 8 days upto yesterday, but it would have been quicker if we hadn't had to make the frame up next door, and bring all the materials and tools in over that fence. If we'd had room in the garden the outer wood could have been nailed on to the frame work and then erected. It would have been to heavy to bring over the fence like that so it has taken longer Dutchy OHs back will have a thorough overhaul tonight when he relaxes in the hot tub, mine will too come to that ;D This is how were looking around mid day today PLEASE CAN I COME IN ;D I'll post some better inside pics as soon as we've decorated then you can start working on the OH Tig

Chuckles, you have a fab OH. I can't believe how quickly it has all come together. He must have been working really hard. I am really envious. Wish I had a hot tub in the garden. Will you be doing any birdwatching while you are in the tub? I suspect you will be too busy having a drink of champagne. PJ

I missed looking at this post for a few days. WOW & WOW Chuckles the boys have worked hard and it looks wonderful and sooooooooo posh. Do we have to address you as HRH Princess Chuckles now? I would kill for a hot tub to relieve all the aches and pains after a hard days work in the garden. It truly is beautiful, make sure you reward the OH with lots of TLC he really is a keeper. boys.

Oooooh I love my new Summer House, we have both always wanted one but cost has always been the main issue. It seemed more justifiable to have something that served two purposes somehow so hence the summer house with a hot tub in it. Hot Tubs are lovely but somehow I couldn't see us using it as much if it was totally open to the elements. So, yes I am very lucky Chuckles. It has made a huge hole in our bank account despite OH building it and the 5 window panels and french doors being salvaged from building jobs he's done. First dip in the lovely 38c rippling water was Saturday night before tea then a second dunk later with a couple of friends and a few bottles of wine. I couldn't find OH in the house Sunday morning, yep you got it, he was in the tub ;D He's loving it and it really is helping with his aches and pains. I had another dip during the day and we both went in it again last night, it really is relaxing. I've just finished the first coat of paint on the walls this morning and it's all starting to come together now. I'll soon be able to put a couple of chairs in there and make it more homely. Still have a lot of work to do outside though too, need to finish the area that goes down onto were the patio table and chairs are and sort out all the trellising and and and and

KL, start doing the work yourself. They usually get upset that you are trying to do 'their' job or they're affraid that you may do it better than them or they're affraid that you'll make a mess of it and they'll get the blame from their mates. ;D Or plan B. Order a hot tub and have it installed in his garage anyway.

That sounds like a good plan Amo ;D I've been replacing a section of fencing today and when he popped home at lunch all I got was.......do you want me to do that, I'll saw those bits of wood if you like, can you manage that.....bla bla bla, they do hate it if they think you can't manage without them ;D I did let him bang a post in with the sledge hammer, made him feel needed. Go for it KL, get the tub ordered the garage sounds a dandy place to me ;D Hope to start work on heightening the trellising opposite the french doors tomorrow afternoon and laying a path through to the patio area, OH has a half day spare ;D. Just a bit of wheeling and dealing to be done though first. He wants to take most of the trellising out, I want to put another window in the the end of the summer house that gets the morning sun. Shall we just say he's not playing ball at the moment with my request. So, I've said no to the removal of the all the trellissing, don't mean it though, I have a plan I can see that taking most of it out will be benificial but I'm not telling him that I'm working on a compromise, plan is he gets what he thinks is his way with the trellis and I get the window Wish me luck ;D Still got to give the inside a second coat of paint yet, then I have some blinds to put up and get the chairs in, Ooooooh I'm excited. We are using the tub everyday, OH goes in it twice a day ;D

Bggr,I wanted to see how things were moving on, but highjacking an austrian hotel Lan is not permitting all. Pitty. I'll have to wait and see what you did at home then. As for the whirlpool, I could have used one today ( in a garage or elsewhere . Beautifull snow and pure sunshine today. I feel toasted. Cheers, will be chatting again later.

Not sure my plan is working yet Amo however work on the trellis didn't start today as planned so fingers crossed I now have more time to work on the window situation Some progress on the painting front today though second coat on the walls done and a cabinet with mirrored doors has been put up to keep chemicals for the tub in. Recycled bathroom cabinet and the mirrors are obviously for making sure OH has somewhere to preen himself after his dips Oh and a nice wooden hanging rail with brass hooks has been erected for tub robes . OH was in the tub at 6.10 this morning, think he loves it more than he does me ;D
