WELL DONE LADIES! <fullofadmirationsmilie>
My sister and I have decided on a moratorium until after the New Year....too many parties and dinners out ;D However...one will not be pigging out (much) just not weighing for a few weeks.

I'm taking my Ticker off for Xmas. I'm letting it all hang out!! This isn't a diet after all, just a better way of eating and I don't intend to be eatng better over the next week or so!!!
New Year menu is soon enough for a fresh start. ;D

Xmas is the best time for me to lose weight.I stop drinking 'coz I don't want a headache over the holiday. Also ,I only like plain food. Hate xmas pud, gateaux, cream etc so I stick to Turkey sandwiches and salad and I usually lose about half a stone between xmas and the new year. ;D

Right. I hope you are all using the last couple of days for indulgence and clearing out! All our puds and cakes are gone. The last of the turkey is in the dogs. The kids have been given all the remaining chocolates and nuts. The fridge has been cleared out and filled with fresh veg and salad and I feel better for it all already! I'm intending on really cutting down, if not out, the big carbs like pasta, potaotes and bread and of course nothing remotely gooey. I think simply eating proper food again will see the scales go down quite sharply over the next couple of weeks, it's the weeks after that that will be interesting. Anyone else having a de-christmas with me?

Trouble is we've got sooooo many chocolates not even started yet. I know I should just not eat them but they'll be there won't they. Going out today to family party and am already taking loads of goo with me. Will sit and eat chocs all day tomorrow then go shopping for veg etc. ;D

Ho hum...it'll be back on the scales (EEK!) soon....Not today tho. ;D I'm on call all night tonight, I'm taking in a big pot of home made vegetable soup, crusty wholemeal bread and BUTTER....and a pile of naughty but nice snacks to share with the Biochemist. My sister and I have decided to start properly on the first Thursday after the new year. We both have so many invites and parties still to go to, and if people are going to all that trouble to cook me a nice meal it seems churlish to refuse to eat it...podged she'll be....

Yes that's right FB - you ask for a slice of toast and a coffee and she writes it in full instead of 1 s.t, 1 cof - for eg She will never rush or get in a lather - it is nice tho to unwind for a change

EEKKKK! Nearly 8lbs back on!! Either I've read something very wrong, which I don't think I have , or I'v really, really pigged out. I do think a lot could be water retention though because I haven't been drinking water. Onwards and downwards we go!!!!!!

Hard work eh Ruthie As daughter is home now all she wants is proper mummy food. Roast pork with all trimmings on saturday and home made steak and ale pie yesterday. I've been really good doing tonnes and tonnes of veg, especially the green stuff and tucking into that. And drinking water again.

I see you've lost a lb Amo and been very quiet about it. I'm being quiet too, haven't weighed myself this week. Only a few Ferrero rocher, Guylian (don't really like them) and a couple of toblerones to go. Then we eat the rose and lemon turkish delight, then it's all gone!!!!

Because you've forbidden yourself from having it! When I used to smoke, I wasn't really bothered with having one during the day if I had them with me but if I'd left them at home, that was all I thought about and wanted one madly! ;D

Just seen your ticker Amo. 21lb lost!!! That's 1 1/2 stone!! Well done ;D (sorry no mexican wave as I'm in quick reply). You're really going for it. Good on you. You'll soon have less weight to lose than me I think it's about a year since I decided to lose weight by healthy eating and I did well for a while, but as you can see, I'm only half a stone lighter than I was then! (post Christmas 2007 I was 164lb though so I'd already lost some when I started in ernest. Anyway, just to say I'm, hopefully, with you again. The last 2 days I have been most careful with my eating and have discovered that Greek salad is good as it reminds me of holidays!! So I should be changing my ticker soon.................downward . Thanks Amo!! Anyone else on board now Spring is well on the way?

I see you've lost another lb Amo. Well done! I've left my ticker alone for a long time at 154lb. My weight has been up and down from this (mostly up ) but today I weighed myself and I think 3lb down from that is worth recording. Hope I can cntinue!
