You're doing really well Amo. I s'pose the knee op was the extra incentive you needed. I haven't actually done too well this W/E. OH keeps leading me astray (he only likes fatty food so it seems). Last night I was persuaded to do Sausage, egg, chips and beans with bread and butter on the side But Tomorrow is another day............and week.

I daren't even think of food like that!! Another couple this week. I'm pleaed with how steady it's been. Just goes to show how much I needed to lose some though. Still I will look nicer for my holiday in May and that can't be bad. ;D

Whoo hoo! Amo! Only 5lb to go! I, erm, haven't had time to weigh myself lately

Post by Ruthie on Apr 23, 2009 20:55:49 GMT
Well, I haven't weighed myself for a while and was feeling a bit depressed today as I feel so fat and the old tummy seems to be bloated. Weighed myself thinking, you must have gone back up to 11 st . Got on and off the scales three times and checked the needle was right and lo and behold my new weight is below ;D Not depressed any more. Tried my holiday clothes on and they all fit (some are a little too big but comfy). Amo when I come back from hols on 2/5 you may have reached your goal! You're on the home straight now for sure. The challenge then will be (unlike me) to keep it off!!

I can't seem to get going again! It's only because I've been doing so much gardening that I've managed not to put on any weight Still, it's nearly salad time - hope that helps Ruthie and Amo - you both seem to be doing well.....well done

Summer is always great for it though Auricula, you'll soon move a bit. Well I reached goal. BMI is down 7 points. I have another 2 to go before classed as 'normal healthy' but it's not impossible I guess!!! I have hols at the end of next month too so I'm sure that will knock everything sideways then i'll be back on the salads again. ;D Hope you're having fun Ruthie and enjoying it all.

I've managed to keep off the weight I lost ( via Slimming World) for 18months.I am very pleased as I have been unable to do much exercizing ( or even moving around). When I've recovered from my op ( should be by September) I will try to lose some more weight, as I still have the books etc. Hope to be lighter and fitter by Xmas

Good for you Auricula!! Sorry not to have seen this before! I still weigh much the same, amazingly enough, but I didn't alter my ticker for 80 days or summat and it didn't like it so I have deleted it!

I've been back on my healthy eating plan for 3 1/2 weeks and have dropped 11 lbs so far. I was beginning to think that I would be fat for the rest of my life. We've had such a difficult few months what with OH losing his job, losing our beloved BiL, our son being so ill and me having to start working shifts at work.....dieting has been the last thing on my mind and my weight crept up whilst I wasn't looking (too busy eating chips...)
Anyway, I signed up to 3 month's Slimming World online...and I'm really enjoying it. It isn't cheap but as I can't get to a slimming group (due to my shifts) it's ideal for me. Today we've booked another cruise and I'm hoping to lose a few more pounds before we go away at Easter.....
How's everybody else doing?
