Karl reckons that the battery should be charged up enough in an hour, but if not then I will get a taxi, I have a hairdressers appointment at half 3 and I could really do without the car playing about today of all days. Notice it dont break down on a work day - it does it on a purpose - bloody hell

It doesn't really sound like a flat battery KL, if you'd only just been driving it Is there nobody you can get a jump start from?? Have you asked Karl what else it might be?

Hi All, been out trucking and it was FABULOUS, I loved it - cant wait for my next lesson. The car was fine after all that - think we need a new battery, Karl is going to have a look at weekend. I really enjoyed it, it was great. Points to remember:- its wide and long and dont go round corners like a car you have to steer out to get round. It has 8 gears but unloaded you use the top 4/5 it pulls away in 3rd from stop. DO NOT CROSS ARMS WHEN STEERING just because you have been driving for 20 years you have to push/pull steer when your on your test This is what I drove today (its off me phone so its not very good) Ooooooooooooooooo it was great - want to have another go ;D

Well done Karlslass, knew an Essex gal could do it, I used to think it was easier than a car, once you get used to it,cos your sitting high, you can see situations better,eg roundabouts, As you said, you must go wide at corners, remember the rear wheels dont follow the front.

Well done Karlslass!!!! I know you are gonna be great cos you are so chuffed with yourself!! I thought they normally taught people with a flat-bed trailer but I suppose you might as well go in the deep end with a box trailer I came away from my first experience of driving a truck knowing that I would never make a truck driver (something about reversing on mirrors just didn't compute in my brain)
