Once my new friend Steve (!) gets used to my funny ways I will ask him to take a picture of me in the lorry, got to let him adjust a little first ;D I cant wait to get back to work and tell the lads how I got on - they dont know about it, they think I booked the day off to have my hair done (which I did anyway!) They are all a load of doubting thomases so wont they just be surprised ;D (walks off humming to herself) anything you can do etc etc.......

WOW!!! I'm sooooooooo jealous!!! If you were near enough to one of the big Distribution Hubs/Depots, April, you could transfer there and they have to offer you training on Electric Palletiser, Fork-lift and the lorries.

Yes,used to drive 10 tons of spuds to the markets in London Back in the 70s I went with my then BF to deliver to the London markets and nearly got killed in Spitalfields! I ripped my thumbnail off on a cauli crate, felt faint, BF said "well get down off the wagon then!" (in a caring way!) But I did faint and fell off the lorry, and came round to see a lorry wheel a few feet from my head!!! Bl**dy BF hadn't even noticed what happened, and those that did thought I was a wino!!!!

Told the lads at work all about my big adventure on Friday ! They were all really surprised because they didn't think I would actually do anything about it I also saw my prospective boss today and told him that I have started with the lessons. He was very impressed, and again said that he would give me a job ;D I hope he remembers that in a few months time when I pass my test, because I cant stand my bloody boss much longer he is a nob.

dear karlslass sometimes i think bosses are required to have certain qualities, nobbishness is possibly a necessity, still, you could start your own lady business, nobbishness doesn't apply, other qualities may prevail, don't drive on a pmt week, don't reverse over people that you don't like, if you have to pee, find a toilet, get some nice girly lights for the outside, hearts for example, dayglo pink, ooh, fairy lights, and as for fluffy dice, how about fluffy bunnies? how lucky and determined you are, well done may the force be with you ;D

KL as I've said before I envy you getting to achieve your dreams, but also getting on and doing it! I've always wanted to drive a truck or a double decker bus but have never done anything about it, and probably never will. I hope your prospective boss means what he says because that is the best thing that could happen to you. Keep on trucking KL!
