Blimey Amo - No pressure then !!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a great lesson again today. Didn't kerb it AT ALL :-) did well with the gears - only one senior moment where it all went horribly wrong. AND PLOCKET I did a hill start 1st time without scaring the bejesus out of the traffic behind me :-) Have been advised to go for theory test, and have been issued the cd roms for all that, just got to study for that now then! 2 hours saturday morning - off to Sheffield then whoopee :-(

I have my first two hour lesson for a few weeks in the morning. I am really looking forward to it, just hope its a bit more successful than the last 2 hour one I had ! Been making some enquiries about a new driving school and I think I am going to be strugglign to find one locally that has a good reputation and can fit me in. The only one that is as close as my present one is apparently quite dodgy and they expect you to work for them for a year once you pass your test, I dont want to do that - they do long haul and nights out etc.....I cant leave my garden ! Oh or Karl Better the devil you know

You are doing so well now KL, it would probably be daft to change. Looking forward to your report later.

Hurrah for your hillstart KL - I'm so proud of you and I don't even really know you!!! Your confidence is growing and it's just brilliant.
Ok so if you've got to stick with this driving school can you get rid of Melvyn and have a different teacher? He sounds like a bit of a dork! ;D

Thank you so much for your support - I think I would have jacked it all in without you lot to talk to. Its really wonderful to have the kind of support and encouragment you have given me For those who are interested I have put a picture of the garden without lawn on my garden thread. If you are of a sensitive disposition I would give it a miss - its not pretty ;D

Afternoon all, had a fab lesson again this morning, been on another test route round Rotherham/Sheffield. Went round Clifton Corner (very tight left hander) and Whiston crossroads ;D Did a hill start on a real Yorkshire hill, very pleased with myself. Really enjoyed it again and came back on the M1 & M18. Love driving on the motorway, its really easy and you can see so much more in a lorry. Its great. Melv is going on holiday for 3 weeks at the end of July and he reckons that if I continue to do as well I will be able to put in for my test when he comes back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I'd best get saving up as I want a couple of full days at it before I do the test. Ooops forgot did a perfect reverse exercise this morning too - I cant believe that. I am a very happy bunny. Got home to 3 tonne of topsoil on my drive too
