A similar thought crossed my mind Jasmine, I was pondering on scaling the walls in a midnight raid I must admit I did some of that in my youth; scaling walls, I mean, except it was usually a wire mesh fence for mangoes, and it was during the day when our neighbour went off shopping or wherever. As kids we never really thought of it as "stealing" in a rigid sense. Most times some of the neighbourhood kids - mostly my friends - would sort of help themselves to some of our mangoes or plums (different from your plums) when we wern't around. Frankly, it bothers me when I see fruit tress around these parts laden with fruit that never gets picked and eaten, and they just fall to the ground and rot. That never happened where/when I was growing up. Oh well; different times; different environment.

I love the autumn colours on this acer/maple which is in our front garden especially with a blue autumn sky behind it.

That is beautiful Jas, a joy to behold.
I fear most of the trees round here are just going to go straight into falling leaves after this cold snap!

You can reverse down the drive??? Respect!! Great photo No, we don't get colour as we have ( at this time of year) long daylight hours and warm temperatures.......sometimes my dogwoods don't lose their leaves at all and I don't get the winter stem colour
