They are more than beautiful, they are almost magical Scarecrow - makes me want to go there and enjoy the sunlight illuminating the trees. Very special Keep trying with the 3 year olds, you need to find something to engross them and then you might be able to catch them off-guard ;D x Tig

Beautiful colours for the end of Autumn FB and Geranium. I'd say this cold spell will take a lot of the leaves off Auricula, you will see your lovely stems soon.

Another snow free day but this can't go on forever so I have been out with the camera today to capture the moment before it's gone. Viburnum Opulus: Spiraea (not sure of variety)

I sympathise - we have about the same, and where do you put all the blimmin leaves once you've swept them up? I do use black sacks to make leaf mould, but there is a limit. I end up burning some, and hiding a HUUUUGE pile behind some shrubs. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/rolleyes.gif OH sometimes runs the mower over the poplar leaves for me, or I'd be wading knee-deep in them. I'm also v.v.v.v. norty and I swoosh the horse chestnut leaves out of the gate and across the lane onto the verge.
