Lovely bright pics. I see you had some sunshine at the W/E, unlike here! Here's my Acer which I've had for years and whose leaves usually shrivel and go brown just as they're beginning to turn. Not this year though!  |

Hi Suparuthie. Yes, I think we are seeing a much better fall display this year than we did last year. I don't know what makes the difference; more rain in summer; less rain in summer; a hot summer; dogs baying at the moon or what. Last year we had a hot dry summer and a lot of trees were almost going from green to losing their leaves without much change in colour; others were going into colour a bit off their usual timing. This summer we had quite a bit of rain, but September was fairly dry and mild. Who knows.

OB that sorbus is absolutely smashing. Those are all great pics folks, isn't autumn just so colourful in the countryside, even more spectacular than in summer. |

Took these at the weekend in my Daughters garden. I'm sure others have some lovely colours to post too.  Only just caught up with this (bookmarks gone funny again) but it's like Autumn meets a Southwold beachhut and so I'll  OM |

No Dutchy; I wasn't flying low <smileylaugh> The "overhead" view pics were taken either from the view tower or the bridge. You can see both in a couple of the pics. Although it would have been nice though to have been able to go up in a balloon or light plane or something like that.

LNG I have a self sowed version growing in my pavers and lead it along the path. In case you can't find it anything to grow up on try the ground ;D. TT here I was imagening you flying over that wonderfull landscape and feeling but a tad green about that. Oh well having a good look from up that tower or bridge must have been real good too. Somehow capturing such an immense landscape on photo never gets close to being there. So lucky you  |
