I think we'll be shopping for wallpaper, and looking in carpet shops.

Working as per usual on Saturday, cleaning my old car ready for it to go to auction, going up to ma and pa's to see my brother while he's visiting, then day off Sunday to get the washing and housework done!

That's the important bit LG - the cafe! I know the boys will be happy running around looking at all the planes but it sounds like a huge amount of walking. I don't remember the plane on the motorway FB.

It's all so expensive Barbara, my wallpaper cost a fortune last summertime. Will you have any time for gardening April, you're so very busy. You may make sure you have comfortable shoes on then Jasmine.

Duxford was a really good day out but the site is a mile long so it is a huge amount of walking. There is a little tram that runs up and down to save weary feet and a few places for tea/coffee and cake! We went on one of the first concordes that was still set up like it had been when it was doing the initial test flights - it was fascinating - how amazing for the people who were part of that. Boys had a great time - lots of tanks and a hangar full of planes from WW1 to the Gulf War. Very tired when we got home early evening!

I'm not doing much gardening until we have a fence up for security and privacy.
I'm not growing what I want to be growing just for some little oik to come along and decide to ruin it by jumping over the little fence that's currently there.

I've been catching up just on the phone with friends this weekend. It's amazing how quickly time goes by, before you know it years have passed. Have been able to be out in the garden and have been doing a bit of spring cleaning as well. Jenny and her family are coming next sunday and then we're all going to Spain for a few days. Ruth and her family will meet us there. I just can't wait for us all to be together. ;D I just hope my joints survive all the activities the girls are planning but I'll be taking extra analgesia with me just in case, I have to keep up with them. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

Jasmine, glad you and the boys had such a good day and a treat with tea and cake. I remember when I lived in London going to the Imperial War Museum and found it fascinating.

Do you remember the 2 boats at the IWM LG? One was the smallest boat involved in Operation Dynamo and one was slightly bigger but only just and several merchant seaman used it after their boat was sunk. Only 2 men survived and they floated at sea for weeks and weeks with hardly any food and water. I think about that every now and again and think how lucky we are. The boys and I went to the village pub for our Sunday lunch. OH is working non-stop at the moment and I thought we deserved a treat.

Oh LG, your poor wee grand daughter - hope she gets well quickly. I remember one of the boys was poorly on their 1st birthday - least it won't be remembered. The boys have got a friend staying tonight and they have spent the evening over at the playing fields playing golf, basket ball and tennis! Hope that means they will get to sleep before 11p.m. Then tomorrow I am going to start a blitz on this house because it is a mess!

I do wonder where Children get their energy sometimes, don't you. I'm sure everyone will be busy over the next few weeks with the Easter hols.

I do as well LG - I've never found that a busy day makes them any sleepier at all by bed time.

I didn't mean that kind of footie FB - that is almost, but only almost, civilised. I meant being a footie mum and having to drive to obscure bits of the county and stand in the rain, cold and mud trying to make the best of a cup of tea in a polystyrene cup while the rain dripped off the end of your nose! ;D Got some more plug plants at the GC and then got back to golf in time for a cup of tea and a chocky bar.

wonder what everyone else is up to this weekend. It's quite traditional for folks to be really starting to get into their gardens about this time isnt it, with Easter around the corner.

I am hoping that my Mantis rotovator will be repaired today as I will need it to help me get my potatoes in. It's been at the repairers for three weeks but after two weeks they hadn't even touched it! It would also come in handy for preparing the ground for the sweet peas too which I really must try to get out this next week.

Will have to go and unpack the car LG and see - I can only remember the white geraniums. Wouldn't have been any good on the Generation Game would I? ;D Good luck with the mantis Spru - what a pain - you'd think with things as they are folk would get on with the job in the hope that you might use them again.

I do hope they sort it out for you Spruance. With the Easter hols coming up you'll need it to get going. I'm sure your SP are dying to get planted out. They're bound to have used up whatever nourishment they had in their compost by now. Would'nt do them any harm to give them a liquid feed maybe while they're waiting. White geraniums, lovely Jasmine.
