I've unloaded the car and I got 3 Laurentia, 2 Trailing Impatiens (not having much luck with these so far as I've lost 4 because it was too cold in the lobby overnight ) and 3 Geranium New Century White. Need to pot them up now. Did you get your sandles LG?

Could'nt find anything that I liked that were actually comfortable too. I only went to the local shopping centre, not into town. I'll have to leave it now but it's ok really. what colour are your laurentia, I've ordered Avant Garde Blue, they're just a lovely little flower are'nt they. You've done well today then Jasmine, hope you hang onto these impatiens. ;D

I never seem to find what I want if I go out looking for something specifically LG - if you aren't looking then there's a choice! ;D They didn't have any other name on the label but laurentia but they are a mid blue in the picture. I had a tub last year with pale pink fuchsias and they are quite dainty. The impatiens are coming into the kitchen at night - this is the last lot I am trying - if these don't survive I reckon I wasn't meant to have them! ;D

Yesterday I was very organised and bought the boys golf bags for Easter (we try not to do too many eggs as they will still be eating chocolate in the summer holidays) but didn't realise that you get big adult bags, small adult bags, youths bags, diddy tots bags...the list goes on. Guess what - they are going back today. Should have looked on the internet first. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/undecided.gif

Goodness, there's such a choice for everything these days Jasmine. I'm back after a lovely holiday in Benalmadena in Spain with all the family. We had such a smashing time together and the weather was just abeautiful. Sunshine all the way. It was quite a surprise to come home and find daffs and tulips on the go after all their different plants. Jenny and family have gone home themselves now and the house is very quiet without them all. I'll see them again soon 'tho. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get cought up with transplanting and sorting out the garden. I did cut the grass when they left late afternoon, very therapeutic I find it and the weather was warm and sunny. ;D I guess everyone is busy with it being Easter this weekend. Hope everyone is having a good time.

Another weekend has come around. Are'nt the weeks flying now? Still have time to sow some more seeds 'tho. I want to get out into the garden weather permitting. I need to get another lot of peas sowed and I've left aside some others which need sowing too. I would'nt mind making one of those reflector thingys which Alys made in last nights gardeners world for the seedlings. What's everyone else up to I wonder.

We've got a quiet day today - golf lessons first thing and then I will be out in the garden if it just cheers up a bit. We were going to visit my In-laws but littlest twin isn't really up to that. Going to build my new greenhouse if it dries up a bit.

Hope it does dry up for you to get the greenhouse put together Jasmine. I've been on Amazon ordering some books which I got with free p&p which is good. I won't have time to go into town and find them in a bookshop so it was great to be able to have them delivered free. I've also spent quite a bit of time in the garden this morning. There's so much to do but it's great that the weather allows.

I have just come back from taking my son and grandson home to telford, due to bumps on the motorway it took longer than it should have done.

I started putting the walk-in greenhouse together with biggest twin only to find there were some parts missing. Now I've got to take it back to Homebase. Still, as we were building it I thought this isn't going to be big enough so perhaps I might just look at proper greenhouses.

Planting in the borders and playing in the greenhouse tomorrow morning ( after a trip to Morrisons to see if they still have fuchsias ). Barbecue for lunch - then it all depends on how much wine has accompanied the BBQ!!! ;D ;D

Barbara I'll bet the house seems quiet without them. Jasmine how disappointing for you but you know what they say, you can never have a big enough greenhouse. Auricula, my Daughter Ruth was saying that just about everyone she knows is going for a Bar-B-Q this weekend, hope you enjoy. I spent most of the dya in the garden yesterday, digging out an old clem, tidying up borders and sowing seeds etc.... had a lovely day. I really need to get mulch for the borders.

Well it does'nt look as if I'm going to get out into the garden to do much as it's still raining. I will however make a point of going on the now daily lilly beetle hunt. I seem to be having a lot of little extra lillie babies this year. Don't think they'll flower but I'll let them grow and build some stores for next year. My Daughter Jenny and her Family are coming to visit tomorrow for a few days. With 2 Granddaughters under 3 it will be busy and fun. ;D

Hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend and that you're all seeing some sunshine. Hope those who were on holidays have had a good time. I hope to catch up on all the threads through the week. We've got quite a wind here but the sun is shining. Hope to get son in law to visit gc this afternoon and pick up a few bits and pieces for me. I did'nt want to use it this year but I'm going to have to get a bug gun as I can't really get around to pull offf greenfly and I'm worried about the lilly beetle too.

Did your son-in-law visit LG? After a bit of a family conference last night we are off to Nymans this morning. Going to go fairly early as all the NT properties round here get so busy on BH's (expect it's the same everywhere). They have quite a nice little plant nursery so that should be good to have a little look round.

We went to my parents' house and yesterday OH and dad pruned a large sycamore so that the crab apple tree isn't so bullied, and then we had a great big bonfire. I trod on a thorn which was at least 2cm long - it went through my sole and stabbed my foot. Ouch it hurt!! Oh and today mum and I made a skirt for LP so that she looks a bit Victorian for school on Wednesday. And I planted up some Geranium Pheum and Astrantia that I'd split from my plants for mum.

Plocket I hope you don't get an infection from that thorn. You sound as if you're great with your hands, always making something or other, hope LP was pleased. Jasmine my son in law got me the bug gun and a big bag of compost. I'm hoping that soon with a bit or rearanging I'll be able to pot up some seedlings. Did you get anything nice at the nursery I wonder, I think it's lovely to visit nurserys as they often have different plants which can't be bought in the chain store garden centres.

Sounds fantastic NO I didn't buy anything at all on Monday LG even though we visited 2 lovely nurseries in the end. I was really taken by all the tree peonies we saw though. In a way they hold their flowers better than the ordinary peonies. I have one that I got from an offer in The Mail last year but I'm not sure what colour it is going to be. Saw the most gorgeous yellow one on Monday with crimson inside.

Oh LNG thank you for your concern but my foot is fine now. It bled well and I cleaned it carefully with Savlon, and now I can barely feel it. I'm pretty good at turning my hand to things, and LP looked great yesterday. She was pretend told off for swearing at "school" and got to do laundry with a dolly, a mangle and an iron heated in the fire. She loved it!
