You're forgiven, Andy - and yes, it's a useful magazine. Have you discovered the 'information' sheets yet? I sent for several on the list. They're very good. They used to let you ask questions by e-mail, but now it's just by phone on a particular day.

No, it's subscription only, I think. They test out tools as well as plants and it has useful articles and NO advertising! ;D

I get to read it sometimes at the golf club where the boys have lessons. Think someone drops it off after they've read it.

I've just got December's magazine from the RHS and it has the most gorgeous picture on the front and the headline 'Reflections of Summer'. The photo is of cannas, dahlias, gladiolas, penstemon (http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cheesy.gif) and lots of other hot coloured summer plants in a border. I thought that was such a nice idea at this time of the year. My copy arrived this morning Jasmine, what a gorgeous picture, I think I've found my dream garden, well at least until the next one comes along i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif I said before that I pass my Gardening Which & GW mags to my MIL, but she's not as garden obsessed as some of us around hear i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif , so she finds the RHS mag a bit heavy going. If anyone would like me to pass on my copies to them just PM me, it always seems such a wast for it only to be read my one person. Also OH starts making noises once the magazine pile at my end of the sofa reaches above the arm i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif Jillyx

That's the only mag I keep - there's always something I want to go back to. All the others get passed on and then again...in fact, I think to about 5 people in the village! ;D ;D Oh no - I lied! I have a drawer full of Gardening Which....

When I bought one as a trial, it was so full of veggy advice, I didn't bother again, as I don't grow any.

I don't buy any garden mags atm I did enjoy the subscription I had to The English Garden. I suppose we all want different things from a mag, I like to browse gardens and pick up the odd idea. A monthly job list is always a nice reminder of whats to be done. All the mags seem to have off months I guess. Just had a look at Garden News www.greatmagazines.co.uk/store/displaybrand.asp?sid=4274&gclid=CP-hjKaV3KUCFQ1O4Qodb2lq1Q I love these sort of site where you can have a look inside the mag It looks quite good to me, and that site ha a good offer on £1 per issue I get my Garden News by subscription - much cheaper doing it this way (about half the normal cost of buying over the counter). It arrives through my door every Tuesday and after xmas thru to Oct there's normally a free packet of seeds to try out every week or two, and mostly flower seeds, although there was a good freebie of french beans this year. It keeps me amused i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif

One week they published a photo of my Godetia's <preen>
I dont buy any Garden Mags now I just look at The Garden Year by Alan T - to see what I should be doing each month
I find Country Living Magazine has some super garden advice and articles each month
