I've got GI ready to send you Jilly but I can't get in the cupboard the A4 envelopes are in because the old sofas are piled up against it! However, there is a parcel making its way to you...hopefully you'll get it tomorrow!

Thanks Jasmine I'll let you know when it arrives. No rush on GI, I wouldn't want you doing yourself an injury mountaineering over the sofas I must get those Salvia cuttings off to you next week, I was waiting for them to fill out a bit but they've been sulking because of the cold . Can you remember if I was due to send you anything else, I think you said you were OK for Agastache in the end didn't you?

Yes, I think we've both done well on the agastache front this year Jilly!! I can't think of anything else you were going to send. Do you have any idea how big the yellow tree peony might get to? I really want to get it in the ground and need to choose a spot.

Roughly about 5-6 feet Jasmine, but very, very slowly, my oldest ones that drowned in their big pot over the winter only ever got to just over 6 feet & were about 15 years old, but they may have the potential to get taller if they're in good soil in the open ground (I think andy identified it as P. delavayi & the RHS say 6'X5')

Jilly I should be able to get GA to you today as well, I finished reading it last night. It's a grand little magazine is'nt it. It just shows that the weather has been quite good here these past few days, I'm only half way through my Gw mag.

Was that your tip in this month's GW isabella? It was to help someone who wanted a climber to cover a down pipe. I'm always looking for names I might recognise!

Sorry to Auricula and Ladygardener - I have done with GA and Gardening Which - will get them in the post as soon as I get a spare minute. I really enjoyed Gardening Which this month - lots on roses and they have tested the best blackspot sprays - none of which I use...at the moment.

I'm very tempted by the Echinacia offer in this weeks AG, as it's all the varieties I keep looking at, but they seem very cheap compared to all the other on line places I've looked. Has anyone ever ordered from simplyseedsandplants before ?

Oh it sounds familiar Jilly but that might be because I've seen the name and perhaps visited their site. Just now I checked out their website and I got lots of hits which makes me think I checked them out but I don't think I've ever ordered from them. I think I forgot to post. Thanks to both Jasmine and Jilly for the mags as always.

They certainly can't be faulted on the speed of their delivery, they're here already , nice healthy looking plugs too, even bigger than the Hayloft Salvias. So as long as they are what they say they are, I've got Echinacia Tiki Torch, Ruby Giant, Secret Passion, Secret Lust, Tomato Soup & Secret Joy all for £19.95 + postage

I loved some of the planting in pots combinations in GI - see what you think Jilly. I forget who's designing them at the moment (it used to be Sarah Price) but she did bronze fennel, chocolate cosmos and a bright red salvia in an old dolly tub and then Gaura Karalee and a grass in an old corrugated trough, she said you could add verbena bonariensis to that combination.

I'll be interested in seeing those Jasmine, I must take a pic of the one I did from a couple of months ago using the Erigeron you sent me & Bill Wallis. Think I should have used a slightly bigger pot, but it's still looking good.
