Thanks for GI & the seeds Jasmine they were here when I got home. I've been very bad this month & not got on with reading my mags at all, I've just about glanced at GW & Gardening Which, the thing is we're busy at work, so I haven't had my usual couple of hours reading time of an afternoon . But I will endeavour to get everything read & dispatched by next week. I'll pop a few of the Daucus carota 'Black Knight' seeds in with yours Jas, you've got your own Ammi haven't you, if not I've got some of those spare too.

They were in the spare room Jasmine, I didn't want them to get rained on & with the unseasonable warm weather, think they might have got cooked . I'll try again just under cover in the growhouse.

Oh that's great Jilly, I'll let you know when it arrives. I find that when I'm up really early or in the middle of the night, I enjoy looking back through old gardening magazines.

Thanks Jilly - I'm just working my way through the new GI then I'll get it off to you! I really enjoy Gardening Which - it is one of the most helpful magazines!...and it doesn't have Tamsin Thingy in it so that's another bonus!!!!

Very true, GW has got that lovely Bob Brown, much more my sort of thing.

I think Bob Brown would be a good person to have round for dinner although he can be quite outspoken on certain things. I got in a grump over his comments on kidney shaped flower beds...he obviously doesn't like them at all!

I love GW there's always lots to read in it and you can find something relevant. I can't see where I thanked you for the last one Jasmine, but I thought I'd written it somewhere. Thanks Jilly, I'll let you know when I get it, I like the little tips people give about achieving similar looks. I think that's EG. I saw Jenny having a look at GW when she was here at the weekend although when I mention magazines to her, she says reading online is much more her thing.

Funny isn't it as I'd far rather have a paper copy of something whether it be reading for pleasure or work! Younger folk will spend so much time at a screen it will be second nature.

It will for sure Jasmine. Everything is electronic for them, Jenny was talking about having a day when they were'nt allowed to use any at all. I enjoy my garden magazines and books of course too. Thanks for The English Garden Jilly, it arrived this morning.

Thanks for GI & the Teasle seeds Jasmine, they were here when I got home. Oh btw we have got a Gardening Which this month, must have just been a bit late, they do confuse me with the 10 issues a year, I never know which other months we miss, I know we only get one to cover Jan/Feb, but I'm never sure which is the other one we miss, because I'm sure they do a Christmas one . Anyway I'll get it off next week.

Thanks Jilly, so do I. Funny thing was, I was chatting to Jenny earlier and she was awake in the night too. She's not a good sleeper either.

The RHS magazine "The Garden" is very poor this month I thought After a cracking issue last month I was really looking forward to reading it but I thought it was ( to quote CRH) Dull..Dull..Dull

I must admit Auricula I often find The Garden a bit dull, especially now we've got this fabulous system that lets me see all the monthly mags , I do find if there's one left just flicked through at the end of he month it's that one. Considering I hardly ever go to the shows or the open gardens I do think sometimes that I should save the money & cancel my subscription. I really only keep it in case I ever want to go to Chelsea or Hampton Court again & members days are quieter.

I thought GI was a bit lack lustre this month - I suppose winter magazines are going to be a bit flat
