I walk past it every morning, so I'll keep my camera ready...it was just that it's a little lighter in the morning now so it caught my eye.

What a smashing sight to see on your way into work Cheery, I'd fourth it. How wonderful that some thoughtful person planted them years ago probably, for us to all enjoy now Thanks for the noms on the dwarf iris everyone, they are a lovely colour x Tig

Here's one of the blooms on my Abeliophyllum distichum. I am pleased that it has some, although it's not covered in flowers - more than last year, though!

Thats lovely Geranium, I don't think I've heard of it before. Here's a few that I snapped yesterday, not exactly in the sunshine, but at least it wasn't raining. I've got all my Irises out now, apart from the little ones I bought last week. My Katherine Hodgkinson have flowered only 4 of the 5 bulbs came up, but they are lovely, I think I'm going to have to get a few more i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/tongue.gif Here's George, looking decidedly better than thought he was going to, after I saw how nibbled the buds were. Thanks for the noms, it's a shame that somethings been nibbling in that pot though i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/sad.gif . I had a very quick run round the garden yesterday to try & catch a few things in the very brief period of sunshine between the showers. It was great to see the crocus opening up in the sunlight, would have made a better picture if I hadn't thrown a shadow on them when I took the photo. Wild Violets starting into flower everywhere, an old neighbour gave me a clump & now I have them everywhere. One of my seedling Hellebores, this is one of my own self sown seedlings, the ones I got from my Mum are a bit younger & haven't flowered this year. The last Irises to flower, I bought these in a pot, they were just called light blue. The dear old Daphne is in full flower & smells gorgeous, even if the foliage is starting to show it's age. Jillyx

I've got daffodils out and the first bluebell leaves are poking through. The late snowdrops are still flowering.

My Botanical Daffs which are in the pot with the now finished Iris are just coming into bloom. The primroses are all blooming and my Tete a Tete are going strong. The snowdrops are over but the crocus are blooming beautifully. My Rockery Tulips, the red ones are in bloom now for a few days.

I forgot about the primroses LG - they have just sprung into life properly rather than just having the 2 or 3 flowers they always seem to manage over winter. Primroses remind me of my grandparents - I used to walk their dog with my grandad and pick primroses for my gran.
