Hello All. I've been away for some time; combination of taking a bit of a break and being in Trinidad for a few weeks. Came back last weekend, and couldn't believe the weather; temperatures in the high teens to early twenties and lovely sunshine. Spring had sprung. Spent most of the past week just cleaning up and enjoying the early bloomers. My hellebores are doing lovely, thank you very much, and the daffs are just beginning to open up. Here are a few quickies of spring on this side of the big pond.
And here is the best messenger of spring for me: forsythia.
Praise for the singing. Praise for the morning. Praise for them springing fresh from the world
I've had quite a few over the years Jilly I buy them for my sons and they give them back to me when they are empty, ;D I had little strawberrys in one one year, sadly the bottoms rust and fall out eventually.
maybe life didn't turn out to be the party you thought, but while your here you may as well dance
It is Jasmine, I meant to say, I think the one on the left is Winter Orchid & the one on the right is another from that collection, Winter Rouge from memory. After you said about them I did kneel down & you're right they do have a marvelous scent.
