Amazing and brilliant. What a spectacle! Bless Gary B for turning up. Pity the Spice Girls' taxi drivers didn't get lost. Can't wait for the next one! ;D

did you think that Brian May played a bit of either Rocking all over the World or "Whatever you Want"? I thought I heard a familiar bit. I was online at the same time and missed the exact bit where Boris Johnson handed the flag to the Rio Mayor. I think he had his jacket buttoned this time. And, did I miss the bit where they took down the Olympic flag and folded it up? Didn't that happen? (puzzled smiley)

The courage of these people is astounding, When I'm watching it almost makes me want to cry, I wouldn't even want to get out of bed if something like that happened to me I'm sure.

Some of the stories behind the scenes have had me swallowing...I can't see a child and think that it can't run and play, but so many haven't been able to when they were kids.. As I said to OH yesterday - they can all do better than I can although I have 4 limbs, fairly good eye sight and some grey cells still intact!!!

I was just reading about the 7/7 survivors who are now competing. I know just what you mean Barbara - it's inspiring, they have climbed mountains even before they get out on the track.

What I really love about the Paralympics is that unlike the Olypics people of all ages are there...
Normally at the 30(ish) age top athletics are thinking about stopping but at the Paralympics loads of older people are still taking part...makes this silver surfer's heart warmer!!

The seats were soooo far back they could only see the legs of the competitors on the high diving board, ;D They managed to change seats, as some near the front weren't taken.
