Lovely Geranium, love the white Daffs especially. The one thing in my pots that have really suffered with the cold is the bedding Cyclamen, I may have to check when I go to the GC & see if they've got any bulbs in pots & then I can do I little refreshing, if the soil in the pots isn't frozen solid

I got the cyclamen out of a couple of pots, they were starting to come back, not rotting like I thought, so they're now in the back of a border. Refreshed the pots with some Euphorbia, Scilla & Aubritia. Along with the Euphorbia the GC was selling Ranunculus Brazen Hussy, but I've already got that romping around the borders so I dug some up, also a couple of Aqueligia Chocolate Solider. This one I just pulled out the Cyclamen & popped the Aubritia pot straight in.

Here's a pot in my shady area - I have moved from Busy-Lizzies to Begonias, which work well. The purple is Lobelia which doesn't seem to mind the shade, either! There is a pot under that lot - honest! My new trough with the Clems. in full bloom.

I've used a couple of old buckets recently to add a differentlook . I did some unusual planting in the galvanised bucket, I'd dug them up and was getting rid when I thought they'd look good in that bucket whilst still in flower I can't think what the plant in the white bucket is but it self seeds and spreads everywhere if you let. An ID would be good if anyone can tell me what it is ? ? ? its a grass type plant.

Not sure on the ID Chuckles (does it flower at all?). I love the Crocosmia in the other bucket, I've actually got Emily Mckenzie in a pot this year, just to keep her separate from the orange Montbretia that I've got coming up everywhere. I pull loads up every year, but I do like to keep some, as I love the hit of colour it gives at just the right time.

Chuckles I've no idea about the indentification sorry but what a great idea to use the buckets as containers . Jasmine has a competition going for spring containers, you should check it out.

Yes Jilly it does grow a grass type flower but I can't remember what it looks like You're right about the Crocosmia it does give you that hit of colour when you need it, I've got another clump in the garden that is heading for a bucket or plant pot of some kind. Thanks for the pointer to the compy Jasmine is doing Ladygardener

Not sure if I've posted about this before I'm always looking for different things to use in the garden and I bought some of these alluminium racks from Ikea several years ago now, they hook over my fence and are great to put a few pots of plants in. I had geraniums and petunias in them this year and they have been great. The photo was taken way back in the year when I first planted them up but it gives you an idea of how they look. In the spring I put some pots of snowdrops or the tiny narcissi in them.

That arrangement looks really good Chuckles, I can just see it full of red pelagoniums.

The pots are great @chuckles with the little saucers underneath. I'd say it works well because of them as much as anything you'd put into them. Good idea.
